The El Dorado Springs Mid-Mo Bank team recently gave this year’s Student Activity Cards to ELDO students. “We love any opportunity to be involved in the community or invest in the future leaders of Cedar County. We’re looking forward to another great school year and we are proud of the teachers, administration, support staff, parents and students of El Dorado Springs!”

Mr. Brad Steward, Superintendent, is thrilled that this partnership continues, “The partnership with Mid-Mo Bank started about 5 years ago. They contacted the superintendent at the time and asked what they can do to help support our school and to see more students at our games.  They came up with the idea of creating the Student Activity Cards. The impact it has on our students has been tremendous. It frees them up so they don’t have to worry about paying to get in and they can use their money for concessions.”

Bank President Lance Hedrick explained how it started on their end. “The idea actually began with the bank president at our Stockton location. At this time we supply these cards to the Stockton and El Dorado Springs School districts each year.”

He continued, saying, “Mid-Mo Bank makes a donation to the school of $1,000 which allows the students to attend home games for free of charge. We wanted to give all students the ability to attend games and cheer for their classmates. It also gives these students a few extra dollars to spend at concessions, which in turn helps fund other programs that benefit the school and students.”

Many of the students expressed their appreciation of the gesture. Maddix Robison (8) said, “It’s helpful to kids who otherwise wouldn’t have the money to attend. I like it because I love supporting my school and my team.”

Maci Walter (7) agreed, saying, “It’s nice to have more students in the stands!”

Middle School Principal Jay Martin is also thankful for this opportunity for his students. He said, “Mid-Mo Bank has always wanted to help our school and our kids. They have made a huge impact on our students because they get to get in for free and to support their classmates.”
