Outsiders

The El Dorado Springs MS and HS Theater recently performed The Outsiders for four large audiences, one of which consisted of the entire Middle School. Director Tandi Leonard estimates that approximately 650 people attended at least one of the shows. Students pulled off stellar performances despite missing several practices due to snow days. Several students were first-time performers, while others have performed in several plays.

According to Mrs. Leonard, this is an exceptionally talented group, which is why she chose a more “serious and emotional” show than she has in years past. Leonard claims, “I have heard nothing but positive comments regarding the play this year. I was thrilled with the support shown by the community, parents, and administrators! Several people described the performances as AMAZING!”

Cast members were Will Rotert as Pobyboy, Crayton Thorell as Johnny, Gabe Whitaker as Bob, Ryker Cundiff as Randy, Dylan Rodgers as Dallas, Haydin Miller as Two-Bit, Davion Taylor as Sodapap, Georjia Copenhaver as Sandy, Annabelle Dittman as Cherry, Hayleigh Garcia as Marcia, Monica Cartwright as Mrs. O’Briant, Bella Wooldridge as Jenny, Cheyanne Hathaway as Doctor, Coley Heuser as Nurse, Kendra Dickson as Mrs. Sym, Alex DeMint as Paul, Izzy Redburn as the Understudy, and playing extras were Aiden Nelson, Bailey Cannon, Kyla Wood, and Jace Whitworth. Crew consisted of Audrey Goatley, Kim Cox, Bella Wooldridge, Norah Richards, Alex DeMint, Mary Tolli, Aden Williams, Jace Whitworth, Dave Leonard, Allysen Long, Josh Schweitzer, Charles Elder, Dakota Hathaway, Hunter Tranchina and Mrs. Leonard’s 4th Hour Theater Class.
