The Bulldogs advanced Monday to the 3rd round in the District baseball tournament in Stockton with a solid victory over Ash Grove.

The El Dorado Springs Bulldogs Varsity grabbed an early lead on its way to a 13-2 victory over Ash Grove on Monday. El Dorado Springs Bulldogs Varsity scored on a single by Jake Schieffer, an error, a groundout by Kade Collins, a single by Brandon Hayes, an error and a triple by Derek Hayes in the first inning.

El Dorado Springs Bulldogs Varsity took an early lead in the first inning. Jake Schieffer singled on a 0-2 count in the first inning, scoring one run.

El Dorado Springs Bulldogs Varsity scored six runs in the fifth inning. The big inning was thanks to a double by Ethan Dubois, a double by Brandon Hayes, a double by Kaiden Simmons and a error.

Schieffer earned the win for El Dorado Springs Bulldogs Varsity. He went five innings, giving up two runs, six hits, striking out three and walking one. Schieffer recorded the last 15 outs to earn the save for El Dorado Springs Bulldogs Varsity. Cody Beasley took the loss for Ash Grove. He threw three innings, surrendering seven runs, five hits, striking out two and walking one.

El Dorado Springs Bulldogs Varsity had 10 hits in the game. Hayes and Dubois each collected multiple hits for El Dorado Springs Bulldogs Varsity. Hayes led El Dorado Springs Bulldogs Varsity with three hits in three at bats.

They played Stockton at 5 p.m. Tuesday for the District Championship.
