JOSHUA ALYNN SOUTH – Cross Country Senior athlete. Joshua is the son of Brian and Susan South. This is Joshua’s first year at ECS and first year running cross country. His favorite Bible verse is Romans 12:2, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” Joshua says that he gives all thanks to God.

DAKOTAH FOGLE. Dakotah is the son of Justin and Summer Fogle. Since coming to ECS in 2021, Dakotah has participated in Track, but he was willing to take on a new sport this year in soccer. He says that the van rides to and from sporting events are his favorite memories at ECS. His favorite Bible verse is James 1:12, “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial, because having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love Him.” Dakotah will most likely be attending Crowder College next year to earn his general education credits. Dakotah would like to thank his parents for always supporting his decisions and helping him get to where he is. Dakotah Fogle.

CANNON AARON ASH – Cannon is the son of Aaron and Jill Ash. Cannon has been a student at ECS since Kindergarten! This is his first year playing soccer, but he has proven to be a valuable defender. He is recognized by others as a great teammate. Cannon’s favorite ECS memory is the time they stayed overnight in Joplin for the State Tournament in track. Cannon plans to use his A+ scholarship to attend Crowder College in Neosho. His favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 1:22-23 in the NIV, “How long will you who are simple love your simple ways? How long will mockers delight in mockery and fools hate knowledge? Repent at my rebuke! Then I will pour out my thoughts to you, I will make known to you my teachings.” Cannon would like to thank 1) his parents for always pushing him in the right direction, whether or not he wanted them to; 2)his grandparents who have (quote) “taught me so many things that I have used throughout my school years”; and 3)his friends for always there during the good and the bad. Senior Cannon Ash.

JUDE KEONI (KAY-OH-NEE) WYANT – Team Soccer Captain. Jude is the son of Andrew and Krystal Wyant. Jude has been at ECS 4 years, and he reports that he has played every single soccer season we’ve had here at ECS. When asked what his favorite ECS memory is, he reported, “In grade 8 whence Canyon bespoketh: ‘Thy countenance is that of a mantlepiece of books.” His other favorite memory is winning their first home game in penalties. Jude’s favorite Bible verse is John 3:30, “He must become greater; I must become less.” Jude says his life plans (quote) “include but are not limited to: college, traveling to every country, and eventually being a state and then United States Congressman, or something like that. Vote JUDE 2044!” Jude would like to thank his parents and grandparents for setting a great example of how to live to Jesus. Jude Wyant.

TRESTAN HORSEMAN – Trestan jokes that he is our foreign exchange student, because he actually lives in Mount Sterling, KY, with his parents, Thor and Iris Horseman. He has been friends with ECS students Jude and Jacob since they were about four years old, and he came out here to be with them. He is escorted by Jacob’s parents, Brian and Heather Johnson, who are currently hosting him. This is Trestan’s first year playing soccer, but he has been a quick study as a defender. His favorite memory here was when their home game against CLC went to extra time and then penalty kicks, resulting in an exciting win for ECS. Trestan’s favorite Bible verse is John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” Trestan plans to go to college next year, hopefully at the University of Miami. JOSEPH R DODSON – Joey is the son of Justin and Karen Dodson. Joey has been a student at ECS since 9th grade. He has kept busy with multiple sports, but this was his first year playing soccer. He has done a great job as our goal-keeper this year. His favorite ECS memory is when he accidentally dropped a Dr. Pepper and it exploded, getting all over Mrs. Leemasters. Joey’s favorite Bible verse is Psalms 8:3-4 in the NLT, “When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers – the moon and the stars you set in place – what are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them?” Joey plans to attend State Technical College of Missouri and work. Joey would like to extend his thanks to his parents, grandparents, other family members, girlfriend and friends. Joey Dodson.

BREANN MICHELLE REASONER – Volleyball captain. Breann is the daughter of Mike and Michelle Reasoner. She has been playing volleyball for ECS since 4th grade, making this her NINTH season. Her favorite ECS memory is putting glitter on everyone’s (even the boys!) faces for a pep assembly. Breann’s favorite Bible verse is Isaiah 43:2, “When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.” Breann plans to start her college career at Crowder College in Neosho, with the ultimate goal of becoming a dental assistant. Breann sends her thanks to her family and to her coach.
