On Wednesday, March 2, the Lady Bulldogs traveled to Lee Summit to take on the Lady Mules of Lone Jack in the Sectional game of the State Tournament. The Lady Bulldogs got out to a quick start, by pressuring the Lady Mules into turnover and pushing the ball in transition. Defensively the Lady Bulldogs were able to shut down Lone Jack’s offense for most of the night and did a great job of finding openings in the defense. The Lady Bulldogs finished the game with a 68-15 victory.

Saturday afternoon, the Lady Bulldogs were on the road again. This time they headed to Blue Springs high school to play the Lady Bulldogs of East Buch. The game started out back and forth as the Bulldogs from ElDo struggled to get into rhythm offensively.
On the defensive end of the floor, they had to deal with a really good post player from East Buch, as she was able to keep East Buch within striking distance for most of the 1st half. After a defensive adjustment during half time, the Lady Bulldogs were able to push the lead out and really shut down East Buch’s offense. The Lady Bulldogs of ElDo would prevail 55-24 to punch their ticket to the Class 3 State final four to be held on the campus of MSU, Thursday and Friday.
The Lady Bulldogs will play a semifinal game at 2 p.m. Thursday against Strafford in JQH Arena. The Lady Bulldogs defeated Strafford earlier in the season.
If the girls win Thursday they will play in the championship at 2 p.m. Friday in JQH arena. Tickets+ are $9 on line. – Contributed Photo
