The Eldo softball team had a great season last spring. It was full of memories and hard work. They ended the season with a record of 7-16, averaging a 30% win rate. The team was coached by Alyssa Sargent and Richard Calbert.

For the upcoming spring 2023-2024 season the head coach will be Alyssa Sargent. “We’re starting the new season with hard working and determined players to prove themselves,” she said.

This year, the graduating seniors playing for their last season will be Tenlie Steward and Ryan Eiskina.

Last softball season Riley Taylor was playing softball and had some well seen talent by colleges. She got a scholarship and is playing softball now at Three Rivers College. This year’s seniors are anxious for a chance to be recruited this year.

Coach Sargent is very prepared and ready for an amazing upcoming season. She said, “Overall  last year’s softball season went well but I do think that there was and is room for improvement.”

The 2023-2024 season will see a big class of softball players coming in to put in the work and prove themselves to the softball team. The new incoming freshmen include Natalie Bruce, Allie Thompson, Aubrey Lundy, Tilar Witt, Khloe Daniels, Kayla Nelson, Darlinda Davis, Makena Robison, and Lacyn Perrodin.

“I am very excited for the young group coming in for the new season. My goal for this season is to overall improve from last years season,” said Coach Sargent.
