The High School Girls Basketball team is starting off their season great with a record of 6 wins and 0 losses! Now let’s get all caught up on the games, and teams our girl’s have played against so far this season.

Our girls played Harrisonville on December 7th, and both Varsity and JV came out of top with the win! The girls played hard in both games, and at the end just wanted it more! Our Varsity Girls blew them out and left Undefeated with the record of 4-0, the girls are hoping to keep this record going!

On Dec. 11, our Girls basketball team traveled to Republic, to play against the Republic Lady Tigers. They went into this game knowing that it wasn’t going to be an easy battle. Everyone had a great mindset, and played tough, until the very end, and never gave up. Our girl’s wanted this win! Last year our girls had a yet again tough battle against the Lady Tigers, but they never gave up. They ended up losing that game, so this year they worked hard to beat them. With losing some great players from both teams, our girl’s felt that they were pretty equal, and knew that if they worked hard enough for what they all wanted they could definitely win.

So, that’s what the girls did! They worked hard, and fought until the very end and ended up beating the Tigers 63-56. This shows that our girl’s worked hard, and didn’t want to go home unless it was with the win.

The Girls team then Traveled to Stockton on December 14th, to once again compete and keep their record up! They ended this game with the score of Lady Tigers, 36  and Lady Bulldogs, 60.

Both JV and Varsity did their jobs. All players did everything they could do to contribute to how the games ended. The Girls left with the record of 6 wins and 0 losses!

Our Girls Basketball team has improved so much since their Jamboree that started off the season! This is just the beginning, and there is still so much our basketball team has to improve on. Both coaches and players should be proud of what they have accomplished so far this season. This shows that hard work and dedication really pays off.

The next game up for our Lady Bulldogs will be the game against the winners of the Class 3 state champs Fair Grove, that our lady’s battled against last season in the State Championship, on December 18th in Fair Grove.  Our Girl’s are hoping to keep the winning streak alive, they know that if they want to win, they are going to have to work hard for it! This will be a great game to watch, you don’t want to miss it.
