On Monday, Jan. 13, the Lady Bulldogs hosted Lady Cardinals of Miller.  The Lady Bulldogs started out the first half very sloppy as they turned the ball over 10 times.  Miller on the other hand started out hot, as they were able to hit from the outside 7 times in the first half.  This allowed Miller to take a 35-24 lead into the half.

In the third quarter, the Lady Bulldogs would go on a run of their own, narrowing the lead to 5 to start the 4th quarter.  In the 4th the Lady Cardinals would begin to stall, holding onto the ball for long periods of time.  The Lady Bulldogs continued to fight, closing within 1 with 30 seconds left before the turnover bug would strike again.  The Lady Cardinals were able to make free throws down the stretch to hand the Lady Bulldogs their first loss of the season 47-53.  Leading the Bulldogs in scoring was:  Reese Schaaf 20, Macie Mays 11 and Tevi Gurley 8.

On Thursday, Jan. 16, the Lady Bulldogs were at home again, against the Lady Liberators of Bolivar.  The Lady Bulldogs jumped out to an early lead hitting shots from the outside, connecting on 6 three pointers in the first half.  The hot shooting allowed the Lady Bulldogs to take an early 36-19 lead into the half.

In the second half the Lady Bulldogs didn’t let up as they were able to continue to score and lock down the Lady Liberators to take the victory 61-39.  Leading the Lady Bulldogs in scoring was:  Tevi Gurley 21, Reese Schaaf 15 and Macie Mays 14.
