The Junior Varsity Lady Bulldogs competed in the Marion C Early JV Tournament on January 7th and 14th.  On the 7th, the Lady Bulldogs started off the tournament with a first-round match-up against the Republic freshman team.  The Lady Bulldogs won the game 45-31, which moved them on to a semi-final matchup against Clever.  In the semi-final game, the Lady Bulldogs started out slow but finished very well winning the game 48-40.  Setting up a Championship match-up with the Fair Grove Lady Eagles.  In the Championship game, the Lady Bulldogs found themselves down at 12-19 going into half time.  In the third quarter, the Lady Bulldogs came up alive on both ends of the floor outscoring the Lady Eagle 23-5.  The Lady Bulldogs came out on top with a 45-29 victory.  The JV Lady Bulldogs are 8-1 on the season.

The Varsity Lady Bulldogs entered the Stockton Tournament this past week, coming into the tournament as the number 1 seed.  Their first-round opponent was the New Covenant Lady Warriors.  The Lady Bulldogs came out firing on all cylinders and never looked back in their first-round game winning 78-17.  In the semi-final round, they were matched up against Cedar county rival Stockton Lady Tigers.  The Lady Bulldogs started slow but eventually pulled away from the Lady Tigers taking a 50-25 victory.  The win against Stockton put them in the Championship game against the Miller Lady Cardinals.  This would be the 5th time in a row, that the Lady Bulldogs and Lady Cardinals faced off in the Championship game of the Stockton Tournament. The Lady Bulldogs struggled to score early on in the game but tied the game up as the 1st quarter ended.  The second quarter saw both teams go on small runs, with the Lady Bulldogs making the last one to take a 3-point lead into the half.  In the third quarter the Lady Bulldogs increased their lead to 10 points, behind some big 3 points shots.  In the 4th quarter, the Lady Cardinals hit some big shots of their own but the Lady Bulldogs were able to hold on down the stretch making 11 of 12 free throws in the final few minutes of the game to win the championship 52-45.
