Our Middle School volleyball team has been working extra hard this season. They are coached by Kate Barger and Alyssa Sargent.  “We have a team full of hard working girls who love the sport that they play,” said Coach Barger.

Their season kicked off when the team traveled to Skyline on September 12. Coach Sargent said, “My 7th grade team played well and came out ready to play hard for their first game. I was very proud of them.” said Coach Sargent.

Next up was a game against Nevada on September 14. Nearly every athlete stated that this has been their best game so far! “It was very competitive and we were challenged more,” said Layla Reasoner (7).

The team says their  biggest strength is serving. “Most of our points come off of our serves,” said Gracie Spencer (8). They say their biggest weakness in their team  is talking to each other and moving their feet. “I’m helping them by teaching them to stay positive for the team and that their hard work will eventually pay off,”  said Coach Barger.

The team traveled to Bolivar on September 20. The team secured the win for 2 of the 3 matches, coming away victorious. Stay tuned for updates as the team continues their winning streak!
