Runners were set and ready for the ECS 5K

The rain and cool temperatures on Saturday, Oct. 19, didn’t discourage the participants at the 5th annual El Dorado Christian 5K Run/Walk.  With hoods up, runners took their mark, and they were off!  Medals, donated by ECS Athletic Department, were awarded to the top three competitors in each age category, and to the top male & female. Protein bars, fruit and bottled water were just a few of the refreshments available to everyone at the finish line.   Evans Drug graciously donated the use of their timing system, podium, and Finish Line to the event.

Results of the 5K Run/Walk:

13 and Under Female: 1st place, Sophia Bryson, 2nd place, Sadie Watkins, 3rd place, Shay Linsenmayer .

13 and Under Male: 1st Jude Wyant, 2nd place, Koal Caldwell, 3rd place, Jacob Tapp.

14-19 Female: 1st place tie:  Lucia Rogers & Isabelle Bryson

14-19 Male: 1st place, Hunter Malsensek, 2nd place, Rylee Bowman, 3rd place, Noah Bland.

20-29 Male: 1st place, Taylor Frazier, 2nd place, Quinton Bland.

30-39 Female: 1st place, Megan Richner, 2nd place, Gabrielle Kinnett, 3rd, Tessie Watkins.

30-39 Male: 1st place, Brandon Watkins

40-49 Female: 1st place, Becky LeeMasters, 2nd place Jill Ash, 3rd place, Valerie Williams.

50 and over female: 1st place, Jan Bland, 2nd place, Althea Wosoba, 3rd place Janet Swank.

50 and over male:  1st place, Warren Wisner
