The annual Skakal Family Reunion will be celebrated with a carry in dinner at noon Sunday, June 12, in the home of Mark and Jennifer Koca south of El Dorado Springs.

Thursday night the Eastern Star ladies (and a few gentlemen) hosted an appreciation dinner for the Sun staff to thank us for doing the job that they help us do. Good food, good company. Anyone who saw Lon Peruzzi’s trailer in Woody’s Mobile Home Park after the storm last Thursday evening blew a huge tree down on it would likely have to agree that (1) the Good Lord was looking out for him and (2) he is fortunate that James Edwards and Michael Owens heard him hollering for help.
