Message: I have replaced my water filter at the expense of around $1,700, due to our sulfer smelling water in El Dorado Springs. There’s a lot of people complaining about the water on Facebook. Can’t the Sun check into this situation? The water is extremely bad, even a new water filter can’t handle this issue.

Boy Scouts

Editor: Dear young men of Cedar County: I appreciate the values that you have chosen to learn. The people that you are remembering cared in many ways the same about their brothers and sisters and their patriotism. I feel it is important for young men to be recognized and honored for their outstanding achievements. You

Free-For-All

Editor: For the last few weeks, it seems that the news has been dominated by sexual harassment and abuse charges. No one seems to be exempt from it: actors, producers, presidents, congressmen, teachers, etc. Both parties are using these charges for political gain and/or to hurt the opposing parties. I wonder (from both sides of

No on gun control

Editor: I am as liberal as you can get on a lot of issues, but gun control is not one of them. Gun control will not work. Prohibition did not work, it made the problem worse. Criminals got booze, criminals and terrorists will get guns. Many weapons are used to kill. Should we ban kitchen

Bump stocks just the beginning?

Editor: Obama’s ATF approval of bump stocks in 2010, which allow semi-automatic rifles to become somewhat a makeshift machine gun. They did a beautiful job of resurfacing the roadway but they stopped without striping the roadway for traffic. The job must have been finished about Oct.

Gun Control

Editor: “Cryin’ Jimmy Kimmel” and other left wing celebrities were already pushing for gun control while the dead bodies in Las Vegas were still warm, hardly a moment to share grief for the lives lost. These celebrities like to work on the emotions of us citizens to push their agenda. In my honest opinion, I

Kill the messenger?

Editor: I am shocked and appalled that the Sun would chose to publish a letter to the editor with such bigoted and judgmental commentary toward a group of people. The overall topic of the letter may have been pertinent, but the imbedded message of hate deserves no platform in a reputable publication. Publisher’s note: Mrs.

Deer disease in humans?

Editor: After reading the rebuttal from the Missouri Department of Conservation written by their spokesman, Mr. Joe Jerek, concerning Larry Dablemont, I felt I was transported back to 1939, and was reading something written by the propaganda machine for Adolph Hitler. Remember their motto was, if you tell a lie long enough and often enough,
