Hot buttered popcorn available at Opera House

Every Friday night (until further notice) the Opera House Theater is selling fresh popcorn from 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. for $5 an ice bag full. You don’t even have to go into the theater.  Volunteers will bring it out to you. Help support the Opera House Theater while they are waiting for the opportunity

The Missouri Democratic State Committee held an emergency meeting March 16, 2020, to discuss the County Wide Mass Meetings. Due to the spreading Coronavirus outbreak, all Mass Meetings at the County/Ward/Township level have been cancelled. Cedar County Library closed

The Cedar County Library – John D. Smith branch in El Dorado Springs has been closed to the public for over a week and will continue to be closed at until April 30, because of virus concerns, accord to Librarian Linda Jamison. She said the staff will be there from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

CMH offers drive-thru COVID-19 testing with doctor’s order

Citizens Memorial Hospital is now offering drive-thru testing for COVID-19 with a CMH doctor’s order. Patients with symptoms of COVID-19, including fever, cough and shortness of breath, should complete a CMH Virtual Visit or call a CMH clinic for screening to obtain an order. The COVID-19 drive-thru site will be open Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
