Cattlemen award scholarships to seniors
The Cedar County Cattlemen’s Association awarded $3,000 in scholarships to three outstanding 2017 high school graduates. Clayton Locke and Cheston Stacy, Stockton, and Santara Best, El Dorado Springs, were each selected to receive a $1,000 non-renewable scholarship. Locke, plans to attend either Missouri State University or the University of Missouri-Columbia, majoring in ag business. Stacy

El Dorado Christian grade school hosted their 2nd Annual Living Wax Museum, on Wednesday, April 12, from 3 to 5 p.m. Students in Mrs. Caldwell’s 3rd through 6th grade history classes, were given the opportunity to research, and write/create a biography of a historical figure. Respectively, every student worked almost 8 weeks preparing, memorizing facts/speeches,

STATE FFA DEGREE – Wyatt Graves, El Dorado Springs FFA, received his State FFA Degree during the state convention in Columbia April 20-21. The state FFA Degree is the highest degree a member can earn in the state association and is only given to 3% of the 28,000 members each year. FFA CONVENTNION RESULTS –

Colleagues, I am beyond proud of our Bulldog Band. As some of you may know, we traveled to Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar on Friday, April 7, for the annual MSHSAA State Large Ensemble Festival. These festivals are held across the state by districts. There are two parts to the State Large Ensemble process. The
