KARATE WINNERS – On Saturday, May 20, students from Van Dyk’s Karate representing Team VDK & Team S.W.A.T. travelled to St. Louis to compete in the 2017 Silver Sun Showdown a North American Sport Karate Association sanctioned event. HUNTER TAKES TIGER CHALLENGE – On May 20, Hunter Malensek representing Team VDK & Team S.W.A.T., traveled to Broken Arrow, OK, to compete in the 30th Annual Tiger Karate Challenge, an Oklahoma Karate Association sanctioned event. On Saturday, May 20, the track team travelled to Clinton for the Class 3, Section 4 Track meet. This included the top four finishers from our district, district 7, and the top four from district 8, in each event. The sectional meet determined who moves on to the State track meet which will be held
We had a great day on Saturday. The following kids have Qualified for State. Tyler Goatley -1600 and 3200. Ashley Knoll- 1600 and 3200. Ethan Parshall- Pole Vault ( set a School Record). Coach Goatley will be getting a more detailed report out later this afternooon.
May 16, was the free physical day at School. Two-hundred students received physicals.
