Fraudulent use of credit/debit device arrest made in Cedar County

Information obtained from the Cedar County Jail website confirms that Chad Hill, a man from Nevada, has been arrested on charges of fraudulent use of a credit or debit device.

The suspect, a 39-year-old male, was taken into custody on February 7, 2025. The arrest stems from a warrant issued in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred on May 28, 2024.

The arresting officer was identified as Frank Lambrecht of the El Dorado Springs Police Department. The suspect’s bond was set at $794.52 and is designated as “Cash Only.” As of the time of reporting, there is no scheduled release date for the individual.

Burglary and theft arrest made in El Dorado Springs

Information obtained from the Cedar County Jail website confirms that Phillip Robinson, a 43-year-old man from El Dorado Springs, Missouri, has been arrested on charges of burglary and theft.

The suspect was taken into custody by the El Dorado Springs Police Department on February 6, 2025. The arrest stems from warrants issued in connection with alleged offenses that occurred on February 4, 2025.

The charges include burglary—2nd Degree and Theft—All Other Property. Both charges carry a cash-only bond of $25,000 each.

The arresting officer was identified by badge number 293 from the El Dorado Springs Police Department. As of the time of reporting, there is no scheduled release date for the individual.

Here is an update to a story we brought you last week.

A hearing was held on February 4, 2025, in Walter Stanley Cook, Jr.’s estate case. According to the official court sound recording log sheet, the session included a judge’s docket entry detailing key legal proceedings.

The personal representative appeared with Attorney Charles Watson, while Peter Lee, the former attorney of the personal representative, appeared via WebEx. During the hearing, Attorney Lee’s motion to withdraw was sustained. However, Attorney Watson objected to his request for fees. After considering the arguments, the court denied Mr. Lee’s request for fees.

Additionally, Attorney Watson was granted leave to file an amended settlement. No further appearances are necessary at this time unless additional legal matters arise.

Here is an update to a story we brought you months prior about a former Cedar County Sheriff’s deputy who was arrested and suspended.

A hearing or trial scheduled for February 4, 2025, was canceled. This case was previously associated with a case management conference scheduled for November 13, 2024, and a future hearing was set for February 13, 2025, at 1:00 PM before Judge M. Blane Baker in Cedar County.

No docket notes were offered regarding the cancellation. We contacted the prosecuting attorney, Daniel Dysart of St. Clair County, to ask for clarification regarding the cancellation and any further developments in the case. However, no response was given.
