Caydon Cox

Caydon Cox jailed on assault and stealing charges

A Marshfield man was taken into custody on June 18 on warrants alleging assault and theft.

Caydon Cox, 22, was arrested by the Cedar County Sheriff’s Office and booked into the Cedar County Jail at 2:20 p.m. Court records show Cox is charged with fourth-degree assault and stealing. Both charges list an alleged offense date of May 31, 2025.

Bond was set at $500 cash only on the assault charge. No bond had been set on the stealing charge at the time of booking.

As of press time, the individual was still being held at the Cedar County Jail.

All individuals charged with a crime are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.

Brandy Drake

Brandy Drake jailed on fraud and financial exploitation charges

An El Dorado Springs woman was taken into custody on June 17 on warrants alleging fraudulent use of a financial device and financial exploitation of an elderly or disabled person.

Brandy Drake, 40, was arrested by the Cedar County Sheriff’s Office and booked into the Cedar County Jail at 10:44 a.m. Court records show Drake is charged with fraudulent use of a credit or debit device involving a value of $500 or more and financial exploitation of an elderly or disabled person.

Both charges list an alleged offense date of March 25, 2026.

Bond was set at $25,000 cash or surety for the fraudulent use of a credit or debit device. No bond amount was listed for the financial exploitation charge at the time of booking.

As of press time, the individual was still being held at the Cedar County Jail.
