TNT KARATE TOURNAMENT – On Saturday, Aug. 13, students from Van Dyk’s Karate representing the SWAT Karate Team traveled to Oklahoma City, OK, to compete in the TNT Blowout Karate Tournament. Mason Gardner and teammate Hunter Malensek both competed in the Youth 10-11 Novice Division. They compete hard against some good and talented competition. Mason placed 3rd in Traditional Weapons, 2nd in Open Hand Forms and placed 5th in Boys Point Sparring. Hunter placed 1st in Traditional Weapons, 1st in Open Hand Forms and placed 4th in Boys Point Sparring. Article by Kassy Wynes-Van Dyk.
