TOPS Awards Day, my favorite time of month

We met in The Firefly Services building, 700 E. Hospital Rd., on Thursday May 7 for our regular weigh-in which is from 7:30 – 8:30 a.m. and meeting which starts at 8:45 a.m.

Our Leader, Warren called the meeting to order and asked Carol to led us in a song.

She led us in singing “We’ll Lose Weight”.

We said our TOPS & KOPS pledges.

Warren led us in roll call, 13 members weighed in today, we had a gain of 6 pounds and a loss of 1.4 pounds, giving us a net gain of 4.6 pounds. Warren was the best loser of the week with a loss of 8 tenths. Obviously, it was not a good week for us.

Linda H. presented the program today. It was Awards Day! Her favorite time of the month. The Back in Black with Perfect Attendance certificate was given to Linda C., Erin and Pat. Earing their 500 Miles Walked certificates were Linda C., Warren, Marilyn, Linda H., Jean and Juanita. Congratulations to Pat who was our Best Loser of the Month with a 3.6# loss. This was not enough to earn the best loser money though. It is growing again! These KOPS received their KOPS in Black with Perfect Attendance certificates: Sue, Marilyn, Linda H., Margie and Carol. There were a few more, but they were not here today. We’ll give those later.

We had 10 with Perfect Attendance: Linda C., Warren, Erin, Jan, Pat, Marie, Sue, Marilyn, Linda H., Margie & Carol. Marilyn won the draw for free dues and gave it to Sheryl. The 4 on our 20 Pounds to Goal Post are Sheryl with 12.6# to Goal, Linda C. with 11.6# to Goal, Jan with 5.8# to Goal and Erin with 5.4# to Goal. Our Chapter walked 2,129 miles in April. This was even better than last month!

Our Gains were 25.8# and our Losses were 39# giving us a net loss of 13.2#. Yet another net loss month – yeah us!!!

Our Contest started today. Pat has contest sheets for those who want to enter. Cost for entering is $2 if you want to enter the chapter part of the contest. If you only want to do the Summer Contest where recognition will be at Fall Rally there is no charge. If you have any questions, please see Pat.

Sue won the right to draw in our Marble game. However, she did not get the winning one. The amount in the pot is $10.

State Recognition Days started this evening! We are so proud of Erin who will represent our chapter as the 1st Place Division 3 State Winner. She lost 52# last year to earn this award. Way to go Erin!

Sue gave our Treasures Report. It was approved as read. We have SRD expenses still to come.

Prayer Request: Trinity Luthern Church’s pastor has terminal cancer, Erin’s cousin was hit in the eye with a ball, and all those traveling to SRD.

With no other business we closed with our motto “IF IT IS TO BE IT IS UP TO ME”
