TTOPS Chapter 319 El Dorado Springs (Take Off pounds Sensibly) met in the Church of Christ Sanctuary on Thursday, October 20.

Co-Leader, Linda H opened the meeting and Carol led us in singing “I Must Attend My Meetings”.

We said our pledges and had roll call.

Twenty-two weighed in today and the chapter had a net loss of 20.8 lbs.

Some good losses were; Virginia with a 3.2 loss, Carolyn back from her summer home with a loss of 4.4lbs, Nikki 2.2 loss and Juanita with a loss of 2.2 lbs.

Angie was the week’s best loser with a loss of 10.8 lbs. When asked what she had done she said she is going to Zumba classes, started eating her main meal in the middle of the day, and had a light meal at about 4 p.m. then nothing after 6 p.m.

Angie had the program today and she talked about the Zumba classes she is taking. They are each Tuesday and Wednesday in the Community Center. Times are Tuesday 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Wednesday 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.

Zumba is a Latin-inspired cardio-dance workout that uses music and choreographed steps to form a fitness party atmosphere. While many of the types of dance and music featured in the program are Latin American inspired, classes can also contain everything from jazz to African beats to country to hip-hop and pop. Angie showed us some exercises and demonstrated how to do them.

Thank you Angie for a fun program and congratulations on your success.

Linda H read a poem titled “Hugs”. She then gave us some facts about hugs. Hugs are healthy they help cure depression, reduces stress, they are a 100% wholesome, non fatting, no cost, not taxable and fully returnable.

Sharon won the right to draw for the marble but did not get the white one.

Sheryl brought the baskets for fall rally. She has a basket with bath things in it and another with kitchen things. Juanita brought a box of Mary Kay items as well.

Jean took all three and she and Melanie will wrap and decorate.

Warren reported on the contest. This was the last week. The winners were Sandi in first place with -20.0 points. Members of the team she picked were: Sandi, Marilyn, Becky and Angie. Sandi won $12.

Angie was 2nd place winner, the members Angie picked were Angie, Jean, Juanita and Susan. Angie won $5.
