Jean had the program today.

She used a program from TOPS magazine. “The TOPS 10 things we can learn from Olympic athletes.

1. Fitness is not a destination. It is a journey. Like the Olympians we must start from the beginning.

2. Improvement is the goal.

3. Stay Healthy

4. Winning in our case losing is as much about training the mind as it is about training the body.

5. People will put forth a great amount of effort for a medal or pin or pinette or charm or certificate.

6. You can’t do it alone

7. Great athletes don’t always make the qualifying round.

8. Just as Olympians suffer sprains and strains we may also run into problems.

9. Even Olympians have off days

10. Olympians never give up on their dreams.

We welcome anyone who is interested in losing weight. That includes men, women, teenagers, and even children above the age of seven. We encourage and reward losses even as small as .2 of a pound! We kid a lot about that awful .2 especially when it is a gain. We do not shame you if you gain but help you explore what you might do to have a loss the next week. We have a lot of fun in the process. Today is the first day of the rest of your life as the saying goes so it is a good day to make a life changing decision. We often remind ourselves that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. We are here to help you break the cycle and have fun doing it.
