Mt. Zion Home Bible study meets each Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Tom and Beverly Pelkey home to study the Bible, with eight in attendance. As always, come join us Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Margie Siegismund and Cleta McEwan were among the group enjoying the dinner theater in Kansas City.

Bonnie Heiserman, Margie Siegismund, Cleta McEwan and friend enjoyed performance at Sight and Sound theater and several others shows while in Branson, sure they did some shopping too.

James Williams spent time at home with his family, David and Wilma Williams and friends before going to Alaska with the Air Force for three years.

Stacy Griffith, Stephanie Childress, Dixie Peterson and Marge Zink decorated local cemeteries.

VFW Post 11242 and Auxiliary from Appleton City conducted memorial services at Forest Park, Appleton City Cemetery, Rockville Cemetery, Taberville Cemetery and Mt. Zion Cemetery.

The Pelkey’s served lunch to all after the services, the weather was beautiful; the taps when played are awesome.

Brenda Peterson spent the weekend with Howard and Dixie Peterson, Howard and Dixie enjoyed lunch with the Crawfords at Deer Camp.

Thelma and Danny Cook, Stephanie Childress, Mile and Stacy Griffith visited Marge Zink recently.

Marge Zink would like to thank everyone for their kindness, prayers visit, flowers and food during Stanley passing.

Marcia Abbott visited Marge Zink picking up two quilts Pam Walker donated to the Taberville School Fixer up project, another meal is planned in November. Be sure and get tickets for the quilts, one is Route 66 the other a winter scene.

At the Robin Siegismund’s home the kids are doing well getting cuter every day, Robin wishes Belle had been her assistance years ago when teaching other kids.

John and Julia Snethen returned home from Texas late Sunday evening and then went to Janet Young’s home to visit with Julia’s niece, Brandy, who was in from Wisconsin. Then Julia helped Beverly with lunch on Monday before returning home to rest. John and Julia got out Tuesday to decorate the graves. Julia attended the 125th anniversary of Pleasant Hill OES Ivy Leaf Chapter #215 Jewel Lodge Saturday evening.
