On Monday evening, Sue Rice resigned from her position as District 1 director on the Cedar County Ambulance Board saying she is in the final stages of moving to Moberly.

The board accepted her resignation and voted to advertise in the newspaper for a replacement.

The board elected Byron Hamilton to be secretary/treasurer, the position Rice vacated.

All board members were present: Kenny Turner, Byron Hamilton, Katie White, Sue Rice, Keith Kosco and John Wilson – presiding.

Sarah Burrows, CPA with KPM CPA firm presented a clean audit.

Tami Ringler, bookkeeper, presented this months financials. Ass of 8-10-16, the district has total cash of $652,804.24. Sales tax deposit for the month was $77.245.27.

The board voted to authorize Overhead Door to install stops on both ElDo overhead doors for $586.50 parts and labor so the doors won’t ram into the openers when they are opened.

Neal Taylor, head of ambulances for Citizens Memorial, told the board he had met with the Cedar County Commission last month. He said the Cedar County Sheriff’s office is not “following our dispatching guidelines we require. They train on that. We are going to give the new sheriff a chance. We’re here to help them improve.”

Byron Hamilton said he wants to start a procedure to honor board members who have served. He had made up one for Don Fugate. The board approved that one and signed it. They will bring up the matter at the next meeting.

The board voted to advertise three weeks for sealed bids for a CPA, for a clerk and for a board member from District 1 to fill the open seat.
