Raymond Carl Shellhorn, 75, Independence, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2016. Raymond was born Jan. 31, 1941, in Montevallo, to Jesse and Viola Shellhorn. Brother, Robert Shellhorn, sisters, Rosalee Bogart and Rhonda Friar.
He married Shirley Mae Rice April 2, 1960, and had two children, Stacy and Kevin (wife, Julie), two grandchildren, Jessica and Amanda, and great-granddaughter, Aiyana.
Raymond retired from Lake City Ammunition after 37 years. He loved to travel and winter in Florida.
He will be greatly missed and will forever live on in our heats.
Contributions can be given to Country Meadows Baptist Church and Life Action Ministries-Red Team.
Services were held Saturday, July 30, at Country Meadows Baptist Church, Kansas City.
