In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Jan 16 – Officer responded to the 204 South Grand concerning reported utility tampering. Investigation resulted in the arrest of Tracie M York, 40, El Dorado Springs, charging her with stealing and tampering with a city utility. She was released on summonses pending ucourt appearance.

Jan 17 – Officers responded to 300 East Gentry concerning a reported assault. Suspect identified and investigation continues.

Jan 19 – Arrest: Cissie A Wiegel, 22, El Dorado Springs, for a Cedar County Warrant, charging her with no proof of insurance with a cash bond of $200. She was released on bond pending court appearance.

Officers responded to 1109 South Jackson, Lion’s Club and El Dorado Springs Preschool, concerning a reported burglary.  Investigation revealed the theft of a table lamp, stocking hat and door chimes.  Investigation continues.

Jan 20 – Officers responded to 115 East 54 Hwy, Pittstop, concerning a reported disturbance. Investigation resulted in the arrest of Sidney D Balthrope, 19, and Scott R. Greathouse, 18, of El Dorado Springs, charging them with peace disturbance. They were released on summonses pending  court appearance.

Jan 21 – Officers responded to 403 South Ohio, Apt #7, concerning a reported larceny.  Investigation revealed the theft of medicationsSuspect identified and  investigation continues.

Officers responded to 708 South Main, concerning a reported burglary. Investigation revealed the theft of a television, DVD player, wood rocking chair, and bag of clothing.  Suspects have been identified and investigation continues.

Officers arrested Becky I Tough, 47, El Dorado Springs, charging her with driving while intoxicated and child endangerment. She was released on summons pending court appearance.

Jan 22 – Officers responded to 100 East Hwy 54, Casey’s General Store, concerning a reported larceny. Investigation revealed the theft of $10.80 of fuel. Investigation continues.

Officers responded to 700 South Park, apt #6, concerning a reported larceny. Investigation revealed the theft of a cell phone and medications.Suspect identified, and investigation continues.
