The Sac Osage Retired School Employees’ Association (SORSEA) recently presented scholarships in the amount of $2,700 each to seven students. These scholarships are made possible through the generosity of the Nellie Nicholas Memorial Teaching Scholarship funds. Receiving scholarships were Bailee Bybee – nursing education at MSU, Kala Kenney – history at SBU, Ronnie Bohrer – chemistry at UMKC, Brooke Bland – elementary education and Emily Jones- elementary education at SBU. Also, pictured is Glenda Ware – SORSEA president. Other scholarship winners who were unable to attend are Mallory Lanser and Olivia Hallford.
