Softball Bulldogs take Houston 7-0 in semi-final

•  A four-run explosion in the fifth inning hoisted the El Dorado Springs Bulldogs Varsity to a 7-0 win in five innings over Houston (MO) on Saturday.

•  The El Dorado Springs Bulldogs Varsity scored in the fifth on an RBI single by Payton Babcock, an RBI single by Babcock, a two-run double by Breanna Rhoads, a wild pitch, and a wild pitch.

•  Anyssa Salazar had two extra-base hits for the El Dorado Springs Bulldogs Varsity. She doubled in the first and second innings.

•  Tailor Hutsell racked up 11 strikeouts in the the El Dorado Springs Bulldogs Varsity win. Hutsell tossed five innings of shutout ball and allowed only one hit.

•  The Bulldogs were sparked by Rhoads and Salazar, who teamed up for six hits and five RBIs.

•  Roberts took the loss for Houston. She allowed seven runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out three.

•  The El Dorado Springs Bulldogs Varsity went up for good in the first, scoring two runs on an RBI double by Salazar and an RBI single by Rhoads.
