Fire report for week of Dec. 20

On Wednesday, Dec. 23, at 11:48 a.m. the Fire Department was dispatched to a residence on E. Gentry to assist the ambulance with a lift assist. Three firefighters responded. At 1:53 p.m. that afternoon, the Fire Department was dispatched to the same location to assist the ambulance. Three firefighters assisted.

Two stolen vehicles recovered leads to arrests

According to Vernon County Sheriff Jason Mosher, Deputies were involved in two separate incidents over the weekend that resulted in the recovery of stolen property and illegal drugs. On Sunday morning, Deputies attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle in rural Milo, MO while performing community checks, which resulted in the vehicle fleeing from Deputies.
