Missouri’s annual spring paddlefish snagging season is a popular pastime for thousands of snaggers. According to the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC), the state’s major paddlefish snagging waters include Lake of the Ozarks, Truman Lake, and Table Rock Lake. American Bass Angler Division 126 will hold a tournament March 17 on Stockton Lake, launching out of Old State Park. Anglers can begin registration at the ramp at 6:00 a.m. There will be a short briefing at 7:00 followed by a partner draw. ABA members from age 14, boaters and non-boaters are encouraged to compete.
