This week, my colleagues and I returned to Jefferson City to begin the 2021 legislative session. Opening week tends to be a bit shorter, with swearing in ceremonies on the first day and mainly housekeeping items to start. Very soon, we will learn our committee assignments, and then the real work of discussing and debating

01/03 • ESPD reported a call from 166 Rd Eldo stating a suspicious vehicle driving around with their lights off and then on and speeding away. GOA • Officer reported MVA on Hwy 97 and 1662 between a Sac Osage Truck and an Eldo Fire Truck. No injuries and roadway is clear. MSHP took over.

Charles Henry Sumner, 72, passed away on Jan. 7, 2021, at his home in Stockton. Charles was born Feb. 2, 1948 to Clifford and Fern Sumner. Charles grew up on the family farm where he lived most of his life. He graduated in 1966, from El Dorado Springs High School. He helped his dad with
Oliver Israel Kenney, 93, of El Dorado Springs, passed away peacefully on Jan. 10, 2021, at the Community Springs Healthcare Facility. He was born in Cedar County on Aug. 14, 1927, to Florence Kenney. During his lifetime, Oliver worked at a variety of occupations, including ranching, truck driving, and construction throughout the United States. In
Carl Wesley Webb, 80, of El Dorado Springs, passed away Jan. 9, 2021, at his home. He was born Aug. 17, 1940, to Carlas Christopher and Opal Marie (Price) Webb in Eureka Springs, AR. Carl grew up in Eureka, where he attended school and church. Carl left behind a testimony of a heart-felt, know-so salvation.
