Timothy Kohler, 52, Nevada, was formally sentenced Thursday for sexually abusing 6-year-old girl in Springfield. Southwest Missouri Cattlemen honored for production

The Southwest Missouri Beef Cattle Improvement Association honored two operations at their annual meeting in Springfield, Nov. 20. Annually, since 1976, the association recognizes an outstanding seedstock and commercial producer.  This year’s recipients were Dale Kunkel, Neosho as seedstock and 5C Ranch, El Dorado Springs as commercial awardees. Kunkel runs a Red Angus, purebred herd.

We’d like to thank everyone who came to give blood at the El Dorado Springs Church of Christ on Thursday, Dec. 5.  Our goal at this Blood Drive was to collect 40 units. TOPS Chapter 9319 El Dorado Springs (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) met in the United Methodist Church, 201 E Broadway on Thursday, Dec. 5, for their weekly weigh-in, and meeting.   Susan led us in Roll Call and walking report.
