The Southwest Missouri Beef Cattle Improvement Association honored two operations at their annual meeting in Springfield, Nov. 20. Annually, since 1976, the association recognizes an outstanding seedstock and commercial producer.  This year’s recipients were Dale Kunkel, Neosho as seedstock and 5C Ranch, El Dorado Springs as commercial awardees. Kunkel runs a Red Angus, purebred herd.

We’d like to thank everyone who came to give blood at the El Dorado Springs Church of Christ on Thursday, Dec. 5.  Our goal at this Blood Drive was to collect 40 units. We had a great response from our friends, neighbors, and co-workers, especially during this time when so many folks are fighting sickness.

TOPS Chapter 9319 El Dorado Springs (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) met in the United Methodist Church, 201 E Broadway on Thursday, Dec. 5, for their weekly weigh-in, and meeting.   Susan led us in Roll Call and walking report. GOOD FRIENDS – Wayside Inn Museum Board Member Paula Newman and Santa collaborate on how to get him down the museum’s chimney at the Pancakes with Santa Christmas event, Dec. 7. Kinlee Ihde and Justin Varner, El Dorado Springs, are proud to announce the birth of twins. Son, Kash Wallace Varner. He weighed 4 lbs. 13 oz. and was 18 inches long. Daughter, Rhen Saige Varner. She weighed 4 lbs. 14 oz. and was 18 inches long.
