Tom Gough and Margaret Long were married in Springfield on Aug. 27, 1972 by Elder Clifford Long. They honeymooned in Branson. For their 50th anniversary, they went to Springfield to eat out. The Goughs have two daughters, Melanie Gilbert and Jeanie Laskin, one granddaughter, one grandson and one great-grandson, all of Jacksonville, FL.

Tara Harris, LPN recently joined the Cedar County Memorial Hospital Senior Life Solutions team as Office Patient Coordinator. She was born in Independence but has lived in El Do since Kindergarten. She completed her LPN licensure in Nevada in 2009 and has worked in many facets of nursing since then — including hospice, long term
