NEVC FCCLA COMPETES – On, Jan. 20, five students from Northeast Vernon County FCCLA attended the STAR Events district competition in Carthage. Haley Elliott competed in Recycle and Redesign SR., Kiersten Trueblood and Crestin Lusk competed in Entrepreneurship, Jr. and Brianna Hansell and Emma Bruce competed in Life Event Planning Jr. All five students walked

ALL DISTRICT CHOIR – Several members of the EHS choir attended the All District Choir in Joplin on Oct 22. Choir students had to tryout and be accepted. They then had to attend one of two four-hour practices. Then they had to practice all day with other All District choir members prior to the concert

SOUND COLLAGE PERFORMS AT SENECA – The El Dorado Springs Sound Collage performed at Seneca Choir Festival on Nov. 5. This was their first performance of their new show “Breakin’ Up.” The choir received a fourth place trophy in their class. They also received the “Overall Crowd Favorite” award which is for all school classes.
AUCTION SURPASSES LAST YEAR’S – This year’s annual Christian School auction on Thursday, Nov. 3, raised $31,513.50 plus another $1,811 from the Chili Supper. The total exceed last year’s auction by a couple of thousand.
FFA HOSTS HEROES AGAINST HUNGER 4K RUN/WALK – The FFA hosted The Heroes Against Hunger 4k Run/Walk on Oct. 15 and had over 20 participants. The race started at Woods parking lot and went through the new sidewalks in town. The FFA raised over $700 to give the local food pantry. The FFA understands that
