ALL DISTRICT CHOIR – Several members of the EHS choir attended the All District Choir in Joplin on Oct 22. Choir students had to tryout and be accepted. They then had to attend one of two four-hour practices. Then they had to practice all day with other All District choir members prior to the concert

SOUND COLLAGE PERFORMS AT SENECA – The El Dorado Springs Sound Collage performed at Seneca Choir Festival on Nov. 5. This was their first performance of their new show “Breakin’ Up.” The choir received a fourth place trophy in their class. They also received the “Overall Crowd Favorite” award which is for all school classes.
AUCTION SURPASSES LAST YEAR’S – This year’s annual Christian School auction on Thursday, Nov. 3, raised $31,513.50 plus another $1,811 from the Chili Supper. The total exceed last year’s auction by a couple of thousand.
FFA HOSTS HEROES AGAINST HUNGER 4K RUN/WALK – The FFA hosted The Heroes Against Hunger 4k Run/Walk on Oct. 15 and had over 20 participants. The race started at Woods parking lot and went through the new sidewalks in town. The FFA raised over $700 to give the local food pantry. The FFA understands that
At a meeting held at the El Dorado Springs Youth Center on Nov. 1st. El Dorado Springs Schools joined with Warsaw, Butler, Sherwood, Buffalo and Cole Camp to form a new Conference. DONUTS WITH DAD – El Dorado Christian School hosted their 6th annual Donuts with Dad on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, Oct 11 and 12. Students were still waking up as they walked through the doors at 7:30 sharp; however, chocolate milk, donuts and coffee (for Dad) replaced the “yawns” with smiles and stories. Seventy Dads,
GIVING BACK – El Dorado Christian School’s junior high and high school took time on Thursday, Oct. 6, to give back and help with the Community Weekend Lunch Program. Mrs. Tessie Watkins just one of the many people associated with this wonderful program. Mrs. Watkins coordinates multiple food donations, storage and lunch-packing schedule.
