Max Phillips, 79, Salisbury, formerly of El Dorado Springs, passed away Aug. 21, 2016, in Chariton Park Healthcare Center in Salisbury. He was born Aug. 21, 1937, in El Dorado Springs to Fred and Evangeline (McClain) Phillips. Max spent many years working in the El Dorado Springs area. He developed a subdivision in the southwest

The Stockton Tigers defeated the El Dorado Springs Bulldogs 34-14 to win the Cedar County Bowl in the 2016 season opener.
