City receives MoPEP grant for electric system upgrades

The City of El Dorado Springs received a check for over $17,000 from the Missouri Public Utility Alliance at the city regular meeting on Jan. 6. Sac Osage Electric target of consumer complaint

Sac Osage Electric has received a consumer complaint over the way it calculates credits and charges of customers who have installed solar panels to generate electricity. Thomas Elliston, Carl Junction, filed an official complaint with the Missouri Attorney General  saying “we, the consumer, have a solar power and written ‘net metering’ agreement with Sac Osage.”

Sheriff looking for three sex offenders

Cedar County currently has 56 registered sex offenders. Of the 56, three are non-compliant: John Robert Kaumans, Kevin Ray Keith and Bryan R Shrout. The Sheriff’s Office has arrest warrants for Kevin Keith and Bryan Shrout for failing to register as a sex offender. A criminal summons has been issued for John Kaumans.  Anyone can
