She is the granddaughter of Donnie and Sharon Murray and Roger and Terry Schiereck. The scholarship is sponsored by Farmers Exchange, Lowry City.

VFW Post 257, the oldest charted post in the state of Missouri, held their annual scholarship banquet on Tuesday, April 13, and recognized the winners of the Patriots Pen and Voice of Democracy essay competitions. The VFW takes entries from the El Dorado Springs Public School, the El Dorado Christian School and the Roscoe School.

Northeast Vernon County’s Charity Middleton has been named the 2021 – 2022 FCCLA State VP of Community Service. She is a sophomore. Her parents are Dallas and Heather Brown and Steve Middleton. This is the first time NEVC has had a State Officer.
