Local VFW hosts Patriot’s Pen and Voice of Democracy winners

VFW Post 257 held their annual dinner and recognition night on Monday, March 19, to honor the winners of the Patriot’s Pen and Voice of Democracy essay contests. The first three places in each contest from the El Dorado Springs R-II School and the El Dorado Christian School were presented monery awards, medals and  certificates.

Area Leadership Contest held

The Area Leadership Contest was held at Miller on March 19.  The El Dorado Springs FFA Chapter took twelve students. The twelve students consisted of the chapter creed speaker, the division one speaker, the knowledge team, the parliamentary procedure team, and the Chapter secretary. All of the Leadership teams will be moving on to districts.
