Nevada man sentenced to prison

Timothy Kohler, 52, Nevada, was formally sentenced Thursday for sexually abusing 6-year-old girl in Springfield. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison after he admitted to sexually abusing one child in Springfield and propositioning another. Southwest Missouri Cattlemen honored for production

The Southwest Missouri Beef Cattle Improvement Association honored two operations at their annual meeting in Springfield, Nov. 20. Annually, since 1976, the association recognizes an outstanding seedstock and commercial producer.  This year’s recipients were Dale Kunkel, Neosho as seedstock and 5C Ranch, El Dorado Springs as commercial awardees.
